Shipping Protection is an optional service designed to provide coverage for common delivery issues during transit. It is offered separately from the product price and is not required to complete a purchase.
1. Coverage
Shipping Protection may cover the following situations, subject to eligibility and claim verification:
Loss during transit
Damage during transit
Theft or porch piracy
Mis-delivery by the courier
Delivery delay compensation (USD $5 per order, when eligible)
Loss During Transit
A shipment may be considered lost if tracking does not show “delivered”:
Domestic shipments: not delivered within 30 days after shipment
International shipments: not delivered within 60 days after shipment
Partial Loss
If an order contains multiple packages, each package is evaluated separately.
If an order contains a single package, partial loss may be determined based on packaging condition, item quantity, and weight discrepancy evidence.
Theft / Porch Piracy
If tracking shows “delivered” but the customer did not receive the package, supporting documentation may be required, such as:
A police report
Relevant surveillance or delivery location video evidence
A loss confirmation issued by the carrier
Damage During Transit
Items that arrive broken, crushed, bent, or otherwise unusable due to transit damage may be eligible for compensation.
Photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging, and damaged items may be required.
Mis-delivery by Courier
If the courier delivers the package to an incorrect address (excluding customer-provided address errors), the proof of delivery (POD) must show an address that does not match the order’s shipping address.
Delivery Delay Compensation
If a shipment is delayed and meets the eligibility criteria defined in the store’s Shipping Policy, a compensation of USD $5 per order may apply.
If the delayed shipment is later confirmed as lost, additional compensation may be provided according to loss coverage rules.
2. Compensation Amount
Compensation is generally based on the discounted order value of the affected item(s).
Full loss: up to the discounted order amount
Partial loss or damage: replacement cost, reshipment, or partial cash compensation (up to the discounted order amount)
Shipping fees and taxes are only compensable if they were included in the original order total
3. Claim Time Limit
Claims must be submitted within 90 days from the date the order is marked as shipped.
Late submissions may not be eligible for compensation.
4. How to File a Claim
Customers can file a claim through the Claims Center by providing:
The email address used for the order
The Shipping Protection ID
A claim link may also be included in the Shipping Protection confirmation email sent after purchase.
Supporting documentation may be requested depending on the claim type, including but not limited to:
Tracking information
Photos of packaging and damaged items
Proof of address or delivery discrepancy
Carrier-issued loss confirmation
5. Resolution Options
Depending on the claim review and eligibility, resolutions may include:
Reshipment of the affected item(s)
Partial or full monetary compensation
6. Exclusions
Shipping Protection does not cover the following situations:
Incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer
Orders that have not entered transit (e.g., “label created” or “pre-shipment” status)
Seizure or confiscation by customs or government authorities
Customer refusal or unclaimed packages (except in verified damage cases)
Incorrect items, size, color, or model shipped (handled under standard return or exchange policies)
Pre-existing product defects or damage not caused during transit
7. Claim Processing Timeline
Initial claim response: within 24 hours
Resolution or compensation: typically within 2 business days after required documentation is completed
8. Cancellation Policy
Before shipment: Shipping Protection may be canceled for a full refund
After shipment: Shipping Protection is non-refundable
9. Important Notice
Shipping Protection is an optional service and is not an insurance product.
All claims are subject to review, verification, and final approval according to this policy.
